At first glance, the Symbol Comfort Innovations mattress may seem like an excellent deal for the low price tag. It is a more basic innerspring mattress, but the manufacturer claims it has been reinvented as something entirely new, and entirely better. Thus the name “Innovations.” Before you run out and purchase what you think is something new and exciting, take a closer look at what is actually inside the mattress.
The basic spring system of the Comfort Innovations by Symbol Mattress is nothing new. The coils are average at best in terms of the gauge used and the rather low coil counts. It is a rather standard system for mattresses selling for lower prices, but what the company claims is actually different is the surrounding materials.
These other materials include a bottom layer of foam for added comfort, an insulator layer, polyboard, and convoluted foam. The top is quilted with super soft foam materials. Basically, there is nothing really new about Comfort Innovation mattresses on this end either. While they are reasonably priced mattresses with very reasonable quality and super comfort, there really is no much inside the mattress that could truly be consider an innovation. In fact, the Comfort Innovations Pillow Top mattress leaves out some of the best materials being used right now.
If you want the best mattress at a reasonable price, check out some of the other mattress lines from Symbol. They have models with high quality latex and visco-memory foam, either as a latex or foam core or with these materials layered on top of encased innerspring systems. These mattresses better fit the “innovations” term since they use some of the newest mattress materials in the market.
This is not to say the Comfort Innovations is a bad mattress. It does have a place in the market as a lower priced option for consumers who want a good mattress but can’t spend a lot of money. Latex and memory foam will cost a big more, but Symbol offers very competitive prices even on those higher quality models.
Right now is an excellent time to purchase because the Symbol Comfort Innovations mattress and many other mattresses from this brand name can be found at extremely low prices through online retailers. It is a buyers market right now, making mattress sets that are already reasonably priced hit their lowest prices ever.
